摘　　要：麦卡锡主义政治控制是托马斯·品钦第二部长篇小说《拍卖第四十九批》中的重要话题,然而关于这部小说迷宫般语言背后的文化主题及其叙事策略的研究,并没有给予该话题足够的重视。因此,透过小说的隐喻性表述,揭示二战前后麦卡锡主义白色恐怖对美国社会的政治控制显得尤为重要。政治审查、精神压制成了品钦小说书写二战后美国麦卡锡主义白色恐怖的核心话语,而其对广播影视、文艺文学、科学研究等非政治领域的政治控制更体现了麦卡锡主义的反动本质。McCarthyist control is one important topic of Thomas Pynchon＇ s second novel The Crying of Lot 49, yet previous studies which focused on the cultural connotations of its maze of language and its narrative techniques did not attach enough importance to this topic. Therefore, decoding the political control of McCarthyist white terror im- posed on American society seems very important. Political examination and spiritual suppression are the core ele- ments of McCarthyist white terror in the U. S. around the Second World War, while its political control in such non-political fields as broadcasting and entertainment, literature and arts, scientific studies foregrounds the reactionary nature of McCarthyism.
