Electro-catalytic role of insulator/conductor interface in Mg O/PEDOT composite electrodes for dye-sensitized solar cells

摘  要:Mg O has not been explored as a counter electrode materials for dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs)due to its lack of electrical conductivity.However,herein,it is reported that Mg O insulator with conductive poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polysty-renesulfonate(PEDOT:PSS)exhibited excellent performance as a counter electrode for DSSCs,leading to a high power conversion efficiency of 7.45%.Furthermore,it was revealed that the interface between Mg O and PEDOT:PSS plays an important electro-catalytic role in the Mg O/PEDOT composite counter electrodes.MgO has not been explored as a counter electrode materials for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) due to its lack of electrical conductivity.
