从女性哥特主义视角解读门罗小说《荒野小站》中的历史叙事

摘　　要：短篇小说《荒野小站》虽然取材于苏格兰移民在加拿大拓荒的历史,但作者艾丽丝·门罗有意对这段历史进行了改写,通过女性书写显示出男性对女性施加的威胁与暴力,将关注引向宏大历史叙事中往往被人们忽略的女性身体和女性体验。女性哥特主义元素的运用,是作品的突出特点,不仅增添了小说诡异恐怖的气氛,还凸显了女主人公从压抑到觉醒再到反抗的转变,展现了女性在男权社会中挣扎求生的努力,对进一步丰富加拿大早期女性人物形象有着积极的意义。In A Wilderness Station,Alice Munro draws inspiration from the history of early Scottish immigrants’ settling in Canada and purposefully adds some variations to vividly depict the prosecution and oppression of women in the patriarchal society. Attention is directed through the heroine’s feminine writing to the often-neglected female body and female experience in grand historical narratives. The feature of the story is the application of female gothic elements,which not only creates the terrible and uncanny atmosphere,but also implies the transformation of women’s status from silence to awakening and finally to revolt. Such illustration of the heroine’s efforts to escape from male hostility and ensure physical security has contributed significantly to the enrichment of pioneer women’s images in Canada.
