摘　　要：南传佛教是一个庞大的文化体系,佛教的传播不仅是佛经教义的传播,也是佛教自身及其周边文化的推广。因此南传佛教对傣族地区的影响不仅仅是宗教信仰方面的改变,整体上,南传佛教文化促进了傣族社会的进步(巩固和完善了封建领主制度),推动了农业生产的发展,也促进了意识形态的发展和社会的文明进步,傣族地区因此而形成了颇具特色的社会文明格局。Theravada Buddhism is a huge cultural system,the spread of Buddhism is not only the dissemination of Buddhist teachings of Buddhism,but also promote their own and the surrounding culture. So the effect of Hinayana Buddhism on the Dai area is not only the religious aspects of change,on the whole,Hinayana Buddhism culture and promote the social progress（to consolidate and improve the feudal lord system）,promoted the development of agricultural production,but also promote the development of ideology and social civilization and progress,thus forming a Dai area the characteristics of the social civilization pattern.
