摘　　要：自从1940年被引介到中国以来,约翰·斯坦贝克这位享誉世界的美国小说家在中国已经经历了70多年的研究历程。由于受意识形态的影响,斯坦贝克的形象和作品在中国经历了少有的大起大落。回顾70年来中国对斯坦贝克的研究历程,对于全面认识这位小说家的诗学特征以及评估我国学界的文学研究方法具有重要的意义。Since being introduced to China in 1940 s,John Steinbeck,the world-known American novelist,has been studied for more than 70 years. Due to the influence of China’s political and aesthetic ideologies,Steinbeck’s fame witnessed the rare ups and downs. Reviewing the study of Steinbeck in the past 70 years is very important to a full knowledge of the novelist’s poetics and evaluation of the literary research methods of the Chinese academic field.
