摘　　要：英国作家威廉·萨默塞特·毛姆凭借他的小说和戏剧立足世界文坛,其作品对人性进行了剖析,他的短篇小说更是描写了迷失的人性所引发的悲剧。死亡书写是毛姆的一大特点。从他的死亡叙事中,可以看出他的死亡叙事模式、死亡叙事表现形态、死亡叙事意义和死亡叙事的美学风格。William Somerset Maugham establishes himself in the literary world by his novels and dramas. His works dissect the nature of human beings and his short novels even describe the tragedy caused by the lost humanity. Writing of death is one of Maugham＇ s characters in creation. The mode, expression, meaning and aesthetic styles of death narration may be analyzed from his writing of death.
