摘　　要：学术期刊经营的是学术,应使学刊编辑超越修改、润色、排版、校对等基础性编辑工作,深入到更能提升学刊学术水平的前期编辑工作中,重视编辑学术水平及经营学术能力的提高。编辑应该具有一定的学术积累,才有能力在选题策划、遴选稿件、邀约栏目主持人等前期编辑工作中与优秀的学者们展开平等对话。学术的飞跃发展,学术编辑原有的知识积累很快就面临知识更新的问题,编辑不能只是坐在办公室里编辑有限的来稿,不能局限于那些关系稿的蝇头小利里。应该走出去,广泛参与学术活动,及时了解学术热点及其动态,积极策划选题,广泛采集稿件。编辑学研究和专业研究是学术编辑的两翼,缺一不可。It is the academics that the academic journals manage;therefore, it is essential for journal ed-itors to do beyond the rudimentary work of editing, polishing, typesetting, and proofreading, etc. Instead, they should go in for the early stage of editing which can enhance the academic level of journals. So it is nec-essary to attach great importance to the improvement of editors’ academic level and academic management a-bility. Editors should have certain amount of accumulation of academics, thus are capable of making equal di-alogues with excellent scholars in such work as planning topics, selecting papers, and inviting column present-ers, etc. The rapid development of academic research and the problem of updating the editors’ previous accu-mulation of knowledge demand editors should not just sit in the office editing the limited contributions, and should not be confined to small profit like making connection. Instead, editors should go out and participate extensively in academic activities, know timely hot academic topics and their development, and collect widely good contributions. The study of editing science and professional research are two wings of academic editing;none can be dispensed with.
