摘　　要：根雕艺术家在创作一件作品时,往往都要遵循植物根系的自然形态。正是因为根雕艺术有这种特性,所以根雕创作的选材就显得尤为重要。根材的形神兼备,是根雕艺术得以形成的第一步,也是最关键的一步。In the creation of a piece of work, root carving artists usually follow the natural morphology of plant root. Because the root carving art has this kind of property, so that the selection of material is particularly important. The unity of form and spirit about the root material is the first step in the creative process of root carving art, which is the most critical step as well.
