摘　　要：以在第九届全国泥沙基本理论研究学术讨论会上的大会发言为基础,回顾了全国泥沙基本理论研究系列学术会议关注的热点问题,介绍了近年来泥沙专业委员会对促进泥沙研究开展的主要工作;扼要评述了我国泥沙基本理论研究的重要进展及解决重大工程问题的实践;提出了今后泥沙研究的发展趋向及应该关注的若干重大问题,主要包括:江河水沙变化与治理方略、江河水沙调控与水库群联合调度、河流物质通量研究等。为推动河流泥沙与流域泥沙研究的紧密结合、泥沙基础理论与工程泥沙问题紧密结合,泥沙学科与其它学科的交叉提供科技支撑。Based on the speech at the ninth national academic seminar on basic theories of sediment, the at- tentive themes on previous series of the seminar are reviewed, and the main works of the Sediment Speciality Society to promote sediment research in recent years are introduced. The important advancements on basic the- ories of sediment research and practices to solve the problems of major projects in China are briefly commented, and the tendency of sediment research in future and several major issues in attention are presented, which include changes of water and sediment and stratagems of river management and alteration, regulations of water and sediment and associated operation of reservoir groups, research on river materials flux. These researches will provide supports of science and technology to promote the combination of river sediment and basin sedi- ment research, the combination of basic theory and project problem of sediment, and the intersection of sedi- ment subject and other subjects.
