摘　　要：田小娥和卡门都拥有着美丽的容貌,生活在社会的最底层,是被侮辱与被损害的女性,她们都有着叛逆的性格,并且最后都被人杀害。但是这两位女性人物形象在个人追求、生存方式和悲剧的成因上是不同的。田小娥追求的是做庄稼汉的妻子,她是封建制度的牺牲品。而卡门追求的是无任何具体形态的自由状态。她们命运的不同在于文化根基的不同,田小娥的命运体现着陕西关中文化的内涵,卡门的命运则是深受吉普赛文化的影响。Tian Xiao＇e and Karmen ,both having beautiful appearances and living in the lowest society,are two a-bused and hurt characters with rebelling spirits and both killed.But there are differences between the two characters in the personal pursuit,living style and the causes of their tragedy.Tian,wanting to be a farmer＇s wife,finally be-comes the victim of the feudal system,while Karmen pursues a kind of absolute freedom without any concrete forms.There exist different cultural roots in the two characters＇destiny,in which Tian＇s fate reflects the intension of Guanzhong culture in Shaanxi while Karmen＇s is greatly affected by the Gipsy culture.
