及物性分析在意识流语篇中的表现力研究

摘　　要：及物性分析是系统功能语言学从词汇语法层切入语篇语义层的重要工具,对语篇经验意义理解和解读有重要作用。文章以意识流语篇《到灯塔去》中的微型语篇为语料,分析了其中心理描写语篇、心理对话语篇和场景描写语篇的及物性分布,给出了意识流语篇及物性分布的特点,阐释了及物性选择的理据。文章认为:意识流语篇的及物性选择在表达人物心理真实和传达深刻象征意义方面具有独特表现力。Transitivity analysis is an important way for the interpretation of the discourse meaning and is widely used in discourse analysis. In this paper, six mini-discourses which include two discourses of the character＇ s psy- chological description, two of the character＇ s psychological dialogues and two of the scene description have been chosen from Virginia Woolf＇ s To the Lighthouse and their transitivity choices have been analyzed and the motivation of the choices studied. The results of the analysis show that the transitivity choices of stream-of-consciousness dis- course are effective language strategies in realizing its theme of psychological realism and its need to facilitate the symbolic meanings of the discourse.
