摘 要:随着半导体工艺的不断发展,片上网络中所包含的IP核数目越来越多,这时片上网络的拓扑结构对于系统的面积和性能起着决定性的作用,并且深刻的影响着系统的通信传输能力。提出了一种新的分层路由交叉片上互连网络——HRCM(Hierarchical Routing Cross-connected Mesh),将2N个2×2全连接的子网连接成N×N的Mesh结构。采用了一种新的分层XY路由算法——HXY(Hierarchical XY)。采用OPNET对该结构进行了进程层、节点层、网络层建模与仿真,结果表明在系统平均延时、系统归一化吞吐量等方面都优于传统Mesh、Xmesh结构。With the development of semiconductor technology, more and more IP cores are contains of network on chip. The topology structure of network on chip plays a decisive role for the area and performance of the system, and a profound impact on the transmission capacity of system. A new hierarchical routing cross-connected interconnection network on chip named HRCM(Hierarchical Cross-Connected Mesh) was proposed. This network is N× N Mesh interconnection network, composed of 2N subnets consisting of 4 fully interconnected nodes. A new hierarchical XY routing algorithm was proposed—the HXY(Hierarchical XY) algorithm based on the standard XY algorithm. Modeling and simulation on the process layer, the node layer and the network layer were proposed using the OPNET Modeler. The results show that HRCM topology is superior to Mesh and Xmesh topology in system average communication delay and normalized throughput.
