摘 要:1993年,美国华裔作家曹桂林的小说《北京人在纽约》改编为同名电视剧在内地上映,引发轰动效应。电视剧在情节安排,人物设计和主题探讨上所发生的种种变化,都与中国内地1990年代初期的文化氛围与时代需求密切有关。可见,海外华文文学在内地的影视化传播,除了遵循不同艺术媒介转换的基本规律外,语境适应也是至关重要的。某种意义上来看,所谓海外华文文学,正是语境适应原则的催生之物,它的存在及其意义,无不处在中心与边缘的张力之间。In 1993, the novel The People in New York written by Guilin Cao, an American Chinese author, was adapted to TV show and created strong public interest. There was much difference between the novel and TV in plot, characters, and theme. All of those were affected by the cultural environment and the need of times in China's Mainland of 1990s. From this we can see that the transmission of overseas Chinese literature on screen in China's Mainland should not only follow the converting rule of different art, but also adapt to the context. In a sense, the overseas Chinese literature is just a produce of the context principle, and its being and value also depends on the tension between the center and edge.
