林西之于广州风景园林建设和管理的贡献

摘　　要：林西领导广州城市建设的业绩享誉全国,对于他在风景园林建设事业方面的贡献,尚缺乏全面的概括和分析。基于详细的史料考证的基础上,介绍了林西的工作经历,尤其是在广州的工作职务;分析了他对于岭南园林风格的认识与他所秉持的现代建筑价值的取向;从领导园林绿化建设以及成立学会和出版学术刊物2个方面总结了他对于风景园林事业的贡献;从尊重知识、团结人才和集体合作式工程项目管理2个方面分析了他的工作方法和领导艺术。最后,认为林西重视人民群众的生活需求,充分理解风景园林行业的综合性,巧妙地将园林建设和经济发展融为一体。Lin Xi is one of most famous ofifcials of urban construction in China. There has not been any research about his contribution to landscape architecture. Based on detailed historical data, this paper illustrates Lin Xi＇s occupation records especially in Guangzhou, and analyses his understanding of the Lingnan garden style and modernist architecture. The paper then summarizes Lin Xi＇s contribution to landscape architecture, including landscape construction and society organizations established and journal published, and analyses his working procedure and management leadership, including the respect to professionals and collective working. Finally, the author believes that Lin Xi paid attention to the needs of people＇s living, understood the comprehensiveness of landscape architecture, and integrated landscape construction with economic development.
