淑女文化语境中身体的隐喻——以韦尔蒂《金苹果》为分析对象

摘　　要：瑞妮和艾可哈特是美国南方作家尤多拉·韦尔蒂精心塑造的两位叛逆女性形象,在小说集《金苹果》中,两个角色被植入特定的淑女文化语境当中,身体意象的叙写内含了丰富的隐喻象征。本文从身体审美的视角出发,分析具体身体描述的社会文化内涵,探寻两位女性如何借助身体表达展现精神层面的反叛、获取社会认同及最终实现自我。通过这两个角色对美国淑女文化传统价值观的消解,身体叙述所隐喻的美国南方文化嬗变得以生动呈现。In Eudora Welty's The Golden Apples,the protagonists,Virgie Rainey and Eckhart are both rebellious females living in traditional Belle Culture,and their images are intentionally shaped in a symbolic way.In this paper,body theory serves as an access to look into the metaphorical elements of social culture surrounding them.Through textual analysis,the paper discusses how Virgie Rainey and Eckhart make efforts to defend their spiritual independence and finally achieve self-realization through physical expression.Their vigorous deconstruction of Belle Culture demonstrates the ever-changing social values during the transitional period in Southern America.
