摘　　要：随着我国和谐社会建设的发展,面对城市社区中人际关系冷漠、关系网络缺乏、内部信任程度低、归属感和认同感不足等社会资本缺失现象,构建城市和谐社区被列为重要议事日程。在这样的背景下,社区图书馆发展的机遇与挑战并存。文章以社会资本理论为视角,阐释社区图书馆服务及其影响力所具有的凝聚社会资本的潜能,以及社区图书馆在和谐社会建设中应承担的使命。With the deepening of social harmony, building harmonious communities becomes a key issue on the agenda in the face of the shortage of social capital in the urban communities, for example, the interpersonal indifference, a lack of network of relationships, the low level of internal belonging and identification, and so on.Community libraries have both opportunities and challenges in this background. Based on the perspective of social capital theory, the paper clarifies the roles that community library service and its influence act on social capital cohesion, as well as the harmony missions that community libraries should undertake.
