摘　　要：语境作为语用学中最为重要的概念,对元语否定的解读起着至关重要的作用。元语否定区别于普通否定在于语境因素的参与。语境就其本身而言内容纷繁杂多。着重对几类不同的语境如上下文语境,交际双方共享信息,普遍认知常识,特定交际相关知识以及法规和文化背景知识等对元语否定解读的制约进行论述。As the most important notion in pragmatics,context plays a very important role in comprehending metalinguistic negation. It is the involvement of context that differentiates metalinguistic negation and ordinary negation. The article attempts to explore how several different contexts,such as textual context,background information shared by communication parties,general common sense,specific knowledge concerning communication,laws and culture can restrict the understanding of metalinguistic negation.
