魏廷珍不是林如海的真原型——兼与童力群先生商榷

摘　　要：“魏廷珍就是林如海的原型”一说,在考证中存在片面化、简单化比附倾向。从《红楼梦》文本与史料对照,魏廷珍有些像书中人物林如海,但又有更多的不像。审视林如海出场后的表现,又发现曹雪芹似在用曲笔勾销他与贾家(曹家)的关系。曹雪芹煞费苦心在一个次要人物身上打哑谜,其中必有隐情。魏廷珍即使算得上是林如海的原型,也是个假的,真原型另有人在。The parlance that Wei Tingzhen is Lin Ruhai's prototype indeed has onesided, simplified comparative tendency in textual research. Comparing the text of The Dream of Red Mansions with its historical materials, we find there is more unlikeness between Wei Tingzhen and Lin Ruhai, the character in the book, in spite of some likeness with Lin. Now examine Lin' s behavior after he comes on the stage and another discovery is that Cao Xueqin seems to tick off his relation on the stage and another discovery is that Cao Xueqin seems to tick off his relation with Jia's family (Cao's family) in a roundabout way. Cao takes great pains to show enigma in the minor chracter. Some message lies in it. Even if Lin's prototype is Wei Tingzhen,it must be a fake and the real prototype must be scmeone else.
