摘　　要：51.引言自由软件的首要特征是源代码开放,它在二十世纪最后几年的发展给人以耳目一新的感觉。Open Source Movement has brought us many kinds of free software, including excellent mathematical software. Free mathematical software Scilab is introduced and analyzed in this paper. It is especially compared with Matlab in usability, function and performance. It concludes that Scilab is as good as Matlab.
