摘　　要：新技术是图书馆实现其价值的主要驱动力。美国图书馆协会已成功举办了5届"新技术在图书馆服务中的应用"大赛。文章通过2014年的4个获奖案例,解读新技术在美国图书馆服务中的具体应用,总结出其对我国图书馆的启示:图书馆应成为知识社区的中心枢纽;满足读者需求是图书馆可持续发展的根本动力;充分利用新技术,方便读者,节约馆员人力;进行图书馆营销创新。New technology is the main driving force to realize the value of the library. Since 2009, the American Library Association has held Cutting-Edge Technology in Library Services each year. The paper interprets the use of the cutting-edge technologies by analyzing the 4 honored cases of 2014, and sums up their inspirations to the libraries in China, that is, library should be the center hub of knowledge communities, meeting the users＇ needs is the fundamental impetus for the sustainable development of the library, successful implementations of the technological advancements and their use in library environments are important to make users convenient and save labor, and library service should be promoted in innovate ways.
