摘 要:同音异义现象在英汉语言中普遍存在,也是语言学习的难点之一。其形成原因复杂多样,且出现在语言的各个层面中,上到句子和词组,下到语素和字母。分析对比英汉同音异义现象的成因及多层分类,旨在揭示二者的异同,以助英汉语词汇的学习与教学,促进英汉语言的学习与文化交流。Homophony is a common linguistic phenomenon in English and Chinese, which is also one of the difficulties in learning languages. Homophony occurs at various levels of languages, up to the level of sentences and phrases, and down to the level of morphemes and letters. This paper explores the causes of formation and classifications of homophony in English and Chinese for the purpose of revealing their differences and similarities, which is helpful in vocabulary learning and teaching and further promotes the language learning and cultural communication in English and Chinese.
