People from all around the world have their own important traditional festivals.'Reunion' is the common topic although there are different regions, cultures, and conventions. In Israel, when Jewish New Year Day is coming, people come to the Western Wall in Jerusalem to pray and wish for a better year for family and friends. The traditional New Year Day in Russia has many rules.Thanksgiving Day is the traditional reunion festival for Americans, when everyone is absorbed in the aroma of roast turkey and pumpkin pie.Diwali is the traditional festival for Indians to bid farewell to the old and usher in the new.Indians usually tend to choose stay with the closest family and ignite candle lamps on a riverbank and put them into the river to carry their prayers. On traditional New Year Day,Thais and Laos tend to visit their parents and hold a water-splashing activity. On March 17 every year, the whole of Ireland is green and people join in a carnival with their friends and family.
