摘　　要：邓小平站在世界现代化历史的高度,提出了符合中国实际的对外开放理论和系统的侨务理论,将启动侨乡优势和发展"海外关系"视为中国实现现代化的"独特机遇"。在邓小平侨务思想的指导下,广东侨乡社会迎来了飞速发展的机遇,侨乡模式成为广东现代化模式的重要特征。邓小平侨务思想的重要性不仅体现在对广东侨乡社会现代化的实践指导上,更重要的是为继续推进广东侨乡社会现代化和当前广东侨务工作提供了深刻的启示。Deng Xiaoping carried out a thorough study of the modernization issues in underdeveloped countries and proposed an open theory and a set of systematic theory in overseas Chinese affairs. In Deng＇s theory, start of the hometown advantage for overseas Chinese and development of ＂overseas relationship＂ is ＂a unique opportunity＂ in the process of Chinese modernization. Under this guidance, overseas Chinese cities in Guangdong have catches the opportunities and dramatically developed. Overseas Chinese model has featured Guangdong modernization mode and Chinese overseas power in the process of modernization. Deng Xiaoping Thought on overseas Chinese affairs is not only reflected in the social modernization practice of overseas Chinese in Guangdong, more importantly, it throws some light on overseas Chinese affairs and its modernization in Guangdong.
