Objective It is to compare the differences of the resting state f MRI between the acute and chronic phase of sudden deafness by low frequency amplitude( ALFF). Methods 18 cases with sudden deafness of the left side in chronic phase after deafness for two years were selected into chronic phase group, and 18 cases in acute phase were selected into acute phase group. The data acquisition of resting state f MRI in both groups was performed, respectively. The areas of the brain with changes of low frequency amplitude( ALFF) value in two groups were compared. Results On the resting state, the ALFF value of the right insula, right superior temporal gyrus regions in chronic phase group were increased markedly than that in acute phase group( all P〈0. 05),and the ALFF value of the right middle temporal gyrus, left inferior temporal gyrus, bilateral medial frontal gyrus, right cerebellum regions in chronic phase group were markedly reduced than that in acute phase group( all P〈0. 05). Conclusion Patients with sudden deafness in chronic phase exists cerebral function abnormal of spontaneous activity under the resting state compare to acute phase group.
