摘　　要：通过介绍乌鲁木齐市城市交通现状,对目前存在的道路网络结构不协调、布局不合理以及机动车保有量较多等问题进行分析。指出通过构建以城市轨道交通(地铁)为骨干的城市公共交通运输系统,是改善城市交通环境的主要措施。该措施不仅有利于乌鲁木齐市宜居城市的建设,同时,还是乌鲁木齐市实现交通环境可持续发展的重要保障。Urumqi city traffic situation described by its presence on the road network structure uncoordinated ,road network layout is unreasonable ,vehicle ownership ,public transport and other issues were analyzed .Pointed out that only by building urban rail transit （subway） as the backbone of urban public transport system is the man measure to improve the urban traffic environment conducive not only to the construction of a livable city of Urumqi ,Urumqi is also environmentally sustainable transportation important safeguard .
