美国学者论毛泽东时代的历史遗产及其同改革的关系

摘　　要：伴随着改革开放后中国的日益崛起,毛泽东时代遗产及其同改革之关系渐成美国学者关注的一个重要学术领域。在美国学者看来,毛泽东时代留下了包括"现代工业化基础的初步奠定"、"社会民生得到一定改善"、"建立了一个有效的政府"、"形成富有价值的理念和思维方式"等在内的既复杂而又矛盾的历史遗产。毛主义遗产对此后中国改革所取得的成就有着不可分割的关联,亦有着不容忽视的负面作用。美国学者关于毛泽东时代历史遗产的解读启示着我们,虽然中西方学者在研究视角、问题意识、研究方法和基本结论等方面存在差异,但也正是通过了解相异的观点与方法,对其进行深刻的分析、批判和借鉴,必将刺激我们的学术自省意识,进一步推动我们对毛泽东时代历史遗产的理解和认识。Along with the rising of China after the reforming and opening up,the relationship between heritage of MAO Zedong era and the reform has gradually become an important academic field paid attention to by America scholars. In the view of American scholars,the historical heritage of MAO Zedong era is complex and contradictory,including ＂establishing modern industrialization base＂,＂improving social livelihood of the people＂,＂establishing an effective government＂,＂forming the powerful national mobilization development system＂,＂forming valuable ideas and ways of thinking＂. The historical heritage of MAO Zedong era has inseparable connection with the achievements of China’s reform,and also has a negative effect on China’s reform,which can not be ignored. America scholars’ interpretation of the historical heritage of MAO Zedong era tells us that,there are differences in study perspective,awareness of problem,research methods and basic conclusions between Western and Chinese scholars. However,by understanding the different perspectives and methods,its in-depth analysis and critique,we can draw beneficial nutrition and our awareness of academic self-examination is stimulated,which will further promotes our understanding of the historical heritage of MAO Zedong era.
