摘　　要：从"如何认识图书馆定义"出发,论述了一个完整的图书馆定义就是回答"图书馆是什么"、"图书馆有什么用"、"图书馆的工作对象是什么"、"图书馆是干什么的"的问题,并以此给出了图书馆的定义。the paper tries to discuss “how to understand the definition of library”and gives the complete definition by answering the following questions - “what is a library”,“what are the functions of a library”,“who are the groups that a library can serve”,“what services can a library offer”.
