摘　　要：近代以来,来华传教士为了推动传教事业的发展,十分注重对中国社会风俗的考察。传教士对中国风俗的考察和研究,是其了解中国国情、探索传教策略的重要组成部分,对当时西方中国观的形成也产生了重要的影响。然而,由于复杂的原因,传教士对中国风俗的考察、认知在不同时期呈现出不同的特点。In order to promote the development of missionary career,Missionaries paid attention to the investigation of the social customs in China. The investigation and research was their understanding to Chinese national conditions,a important part of missionary strategy and had a significant impact for the Western shaping the view of China. However,due to complex reasons,missionary cognition to Chinese customs showed different characteristics at different times.
