摘　　要：凯特·肖邦在《觉醒》中塑造了三类女性人物形象:拉夫人——传统型女性;莱兹小姐——独立型女性;埃德娜——反叛型女性。她们各有特点但都拘囿于男权社会的束缚。小说通过这三类女性形象的塑造,反映了作者对女性生存状态的关注,批判了男权主义的社会结构和社会文化对女性主体性的遏制,展现了肖邦对女性自我意识的弘扬。Kate Chopin created three major characters in her novel The Awakening. Mrs Ratignolle is traditional;Miss Reisz is independent;Edna is rebellious.They have their own characteristics, but all of them are fettered by patriarchal society. By creating the three kinds of female characters, it shows the author’s concern for the survival condition of women, criticizes the patriarchal society for its containment of female subjectivity, embodies Chopin’s carrying forward female self-awareness.
