摘　　要：民国时期,数以千计的海南学子负笈北上或远涉重洋求学深造,积极追随当时中国政治文化发展的潮流,形成了海南历史上前所未有的"游学"热潮。这一现象的出现,既是因海南由封闭走向开放的大潮流所致,也是由当时海南社会政治、经济、文化变革的特殊性所促成。出岛游学的海南青年,以"革旧图新""改造琼崖"为志向,努力寻求自身发展与社会变革的道路,积极投身于各种进步活动,迅速成长为那个时期海南社会诸多领域的精英和引领者。在这个过程中,游学青年的知识结构、社会信仰和道路选择,已经完全不同于旧式知识分子,他们已成为海南社会真正意义上的现代知识分子。他们的崛起为民国时期的海南注入了强大的活力,推动了海南新民主主义革命的兴起、现代教育事业的发展和海南岛的开发与建设,为海南岛社会的革新和进步作出了不可磨灭的贡献。In the period of the Republic of China,thousands of Hainan students,who either went north or studied abroad,actively followed the step of Chinese pioneers of politics and cultures at that time.It was known as the unprecedented rush of ＂studying tour＂.The emergence of this phenomenon was not only caused by the wave of Hainan＇s openness,but also by the peculiarities of the political,economic and cultural transformations of Hainan Society.With their aspirations of ＂dropping old practices and introducing new ones＂ and ＂transforming Qiongya＂,these youth of Hainan Island strove to seek out their own path of self-development and social change.Therefore they actively engaged in a variety of progressive events and soon became the elites and pioneers in the many fields of Hainan society at that time.More importantly,in this process,the knowledge structures,social beliefs and path options of these youth were completely different from the traditional intellectuals.In a certain degree,they had become the true modern intellectuals of Hainan society.Their growth implanted a stream of powerful vitality for the Hainan society during the period of the Republic of China.At the same time,they promoted the rise of Hainan＇s new democratic revolution,the development of modern education,and the development and construction of Hainan Island.In conclusion,this community made a great contribution to the innovation and progress of Hainan society.
