摘　　要：费孝通教授晚年的重大学术贡献是:在回答"社会是什么"这个社会学以至整个社会科学的"元问题"上,破解了西方社会学的迷思,建立起了"生活论"的解释框架和研究范式,从而确立了生活本体论的社会学信仰,明确了社会学既是社会科学又是人文学科的学科属性,建立了从生活逻辑出发和符合中国文化特点的研究方法。费孝通所确立的"生活论"研究范式为求解个人与社会、行动与结构、实体与价值、理性与情感、实证与非实证研究等基本理论关系问题,提供了重要的方法论原则。Fei Xiaotong made a huge contribution to social science in his old age.He built an explanation frame which is based on life theory for answering what is society and the questions which haven＇t been resolved in western society.This frame establishes the sociological faith on life,points out that sociology are both social science and humanity science,and provides an research method for studying Chinese society based on life logic.In a world,this life theory built by Fei Xiaotong provides an important methodological principle for solving the following relationships：individual and society,action and structure,entity and value,sense and sensibility,the empirical and non empirical research.
