摘　　要：20世纪50年代初期在准噶尔盆地油气地质勘探方向上,曾发生了一场大争论:是走向地台(指盆地西北缘),还是坚持在山前坳陷(指盆地南缘)继续勘探。60年过去了,随着油气勘探的深入和新资料的不断出现,近年来出现了一种在准噶尔盆地找油的新理念和模式。根据这一新的找油模式,对西北缘和南缘的含油气远景进行了重新评价,认为准噶尔盆地西北缘含油气远景较南缘好得多,西北缘油气勘探的成功,就是按这种新模式找油的成功范例。In the early 1950s there was a big debate about directions for oil and gas geological exploration in Junggar basin： whether to go platform （refers to the northwestern margin of the basin） or to be persisted in the piedmont depression （refers to the southern margin of the basin） for continuing to oil exploration. Over the past 60 years, with the deepening of the oil and gas exploration and constant aeeumulation of the new information or data, a new idea or model for oil and gas exploration in Junggar basin is appeared in recent years. According to this new model, this paper presents reappraisal of oil and gas prospects in the northwestern margin and the southern margin of Junggar ba- sin, and indicates that the oil and gas prospect in the northwestern margin is much better than that in the southern margin of the basin. The success of the oil and gas exploration in the northwestern margin in recent years is a successful case based on the new model for further finding oil and gas in Junggar basin.
