Persistent organic pollutants(POPs) belong to environmental chemicals with properties such as stabilization, degradation-resistant, high lipid solubility and high accumulation. More and more studies have shown that POPs were closely associated with diabetes and the related molecular mechanisms were complex. The present review discussed the molecular mechanism about type 1 and type 2 diabetes induced by POPs. The purpose of this review was to illuminate the internal relation of POPs and two types of diabetes.
