摘　　要：上海城市精神源于上海城市发展历程的实践,特定的社会历史时期,上海城市精神具有不同特质和表述方式。回顾总结上海设县以来722年的发展史和城市精神演变历程,分析出上海城市精神的演变过程和当前使用的城市精神的文化内涵、历史传统和地理决定因素;认为上海城市精神是对上海近代化、国际化、都市化的深刻总结和完整反映,对于上海建设世界城市具有战略指导、方向引领、精神鼓舞和品牌示范作用。Shanghai city spirit is the result of the practice of the urban development. During specific social and historical period, the city spirit of Shanghai with different characteristics and expression way, reviewing the history of Shanghai and the evaluation of the city spirit set since 722 when it had been set as county. Analysis of the evolution process of the city spirit of Shanghai and the current use of city spirit culture connotation, historical traditions and geographical factor; Think that the city spirit of Shanghai has reflect the modernization, internationalization and urbanization in-depth and comprehensively. It will make active effects on strategic guidance, direction of leading, spiritual incentive and brand demonstration. Improving shanghai realizing world city target.
