摘　　要：北京五金同业公会是应各同业商号抗争、互保之需联合成立的,会员入会、退会手续比较严格。该会在与北京总商会及其他行业联合进行与政府、外商抗争,团结互保,时刻不忘自身社会责任,积极参与社会公益活动方面发挥了一定的积极作用,这体现了时代潮流与商业发展的进步。虽有某些消极影响,但居次要地位。Beijing Hardware Business Guild was established on the needs of fighting and mutual guaran -tee .The procedures of membership and withdrawal was more rigorous .This Guild combining with the Bei-jing General Chamber of Commerce and other industries had played a positive role in fighting with the government and foreign businessmen , unity and mutual guarantee , always no forgetting their social re-sponsibility , carrying out social welfare actively .It reflected the trend of the times trend and the develop-ment of commercial progress .
