摘　　要：美国华裔作家谭恩美的小说《接骨师之女》描绘了女主人公露丝和她的母亲茹灵的心灵成长之路,从小在美国长大的露丝受到社会和家庭的双重禁锢而倍感窒息,同时复杂而微妙的母女关系也令露丝母女命运多舛。面对种种挫折,她们不断历练成长,渐渐走上了觉醒之路,成为坚强、独立的女性。文章揭示女性人物精神和生活受到压制的原因,并在她们的成长与觉醒中寻求解决女性生存困境与精神压抑的方法。The Bonesetter＇s Daughter, a novel written by the Chinese American writer Amy Tan, describes the spiritual growth of the heroine Ruth and her mother, Lu Ling. Born and growing up in America, Ruth feels suffocated by oppression and imprisonment from the society and her family. At the same time, Ruth and her mother suffer many mishaps in their lives because of the complicated and delicate mother-daughter relationship. Confronting setbacks, they gradually become spiritually mature, awakened, strong-minded and independent women. This paper tries to reveal the reasons of spiritual and living suppression of women, and find ways to helping women out of their survival plight and mental depression when they experience their spiritual growth and awakening.
