摘　　要：外部技术监控是最早在企业得到应用的一种技术竞争情报活动形式。企业开展外部技术监控对于抓住新技术发展机遇、规避新技术或替代技术风险具有重要的战略意义。首先阐述外部技术监控的理论基础,包括涵义、作用、流程和组织模式,然后对德国电信外部技术监控实践进行案例分析,最后对未来研究进行了展望。External technology watching is an early form of competitive technical intelligence activities in enterprises. It has the strategic importance of grasping the opportunities of new technologies and avoiding the risk of new or substitute technologies. The paper elaborates on the theoretical foundation of external technology watching including meaning,role,processes and organization first,then analyzes the practice of Deutsche Telekom as a case study,and finally brings forth the prospect of future research.
