摘　　要：现代化研究是在20世纪50年代末和60年代中兴起的一门边缘学科。其时正处于令肯尼迪政府"难以安宁"之时,为争取"边缘地带"新兴国家在意识形态的归附,现代化理论开始产生。现代化理论产生之后迅速发展,形成众多流派。但早期现代化理论在实践中的应用并未产生预先设想的成果,其最终也被其它理论所取代。The study of modernization is a new borderline subject rising in the late 1950 s and middle1960 s. The modernization theory came into being when Kennedy Administration didn＇ t have a single hour of peace in order to get the ideological obedience of newly-emerging nation that is on the edge of the world. The theory formed many schools with the rapid development. But the modernization theories early on have not got the expected achievement when they were applied into the practice,therefore,it is finally replaced by other theories.
