摘　　要：北美冬青是冬青科冬青属多年生落叶灌木,是秋冬切枝、环境美化和盆栽的优良观赏树种,近年来引种到中国的多个品种表现出较强的抗性和适应性,具有很大的推广应用价值和市场潜力。笔者系统阐述了北美冬青的园林特性、观赏特性以及栽培管理和病虫害防治措施,提出了北美冬青在国内园林绿化中的主要应用途径,并对其在园林应用过程中可能遇到的问题进行了综合分析。North American holly is a famous landscape ornamental tree species, which is different from otherhollies（the evergreen tree）. It was a globular, upright, autumn and winter deciduous, medium-sized shrub. Itbore white inconspicuous flowers in spring, which were followed by dense clusters of bright red berries thatremain on the branches throughout winter. It was a winter branches cutting, landscaping and potted excellentornamental tree. The author summarized the ornamental and landscape characteristics, cultivation, andprevention and control of diseases, and put forwarded the application ways of holly in landscape and someconsiderations when choosing male and female partners for the landscape.
