语言模因变异与科技英语词义推导刍议

摘　　要：科技英语词义灵活多变、富于变异的特性给科技英语词义推导带来了困难。模因论认为语言模因本身就是一种变异,并对语言模因变异的根源和规律进行了描述,可用于解释科技英语词义变异的现象。将国内外学者对语言模因变异研究的成果与科技英语词义自身变异的现象结合起来,梳理出了科技英语词义变异的六种模式及推导方法,可用于指导科技英语词汇的学习与翻译。The flexibility and variation of the meanings of EST words has constituted a challenge for their deduction. Memetics is of the view that language as a meme is a kind of variation itself, and has gone further to describe the root and rules of memetic variation; Therefore, memetics can be employed to describe the variation of EST words. Combining the relevant research results of the scholars at home and abroad with the features of the EST words variation, six variation patterns of EST words plus six deduction types of the meanings of EST words have been attained. This may benefit EST learners in EST words study and translation.
