Objective To examine the effectiveness of autologous whole blood external treatment for diabetic foot wounds. Methods Totally,200 outpatients with chronic diabetic foot wound were recruited and were divided into the experimental group (100 cases) and the control group (100cases). Patients in the control group received conventional wet therapy treatment, while patients in the experimental group received wet dressing to wound coming fresh, then received autologous whole blood external treatment. Results The wound healing rate after 7,14,21 days in the experimental group was higher than those of the control group ( P 〈 0. O1 ) , and the curative time in the experimental group was significantly shorter than that of the control group ( P 〈 0.01 ) , and without any adverse reaction. Conclusion Autologous whole blood external application can promote the healing of diabetic foot wounds, and is safe and reliable to be popularized in clinic.
