摘　　要：本文阐述了中国中医药研究领域改革开放后的第一次思想大解放取得的成果,提出时值中医药现代化发展20周年,应总结经验,进一步提升、凝聚战略目标,实现中医药发展的第二次思想解放—创建新医药学(也可称为整体系统医学)。阐述提出创建新医药学的背景,中医药发展第二次思想解放的必要性,推动培育新医药学发展的重要性,新医药学的八项目标和任务及创建新医药学的十点困惑和思考,呼吁为创建新医药学努力和奋斗。The perspective article reviewed the advance of TCM since the proposal of the TCM modernization which leads to the first step in emancipating the minds twenty years ago. At this stage, it may require another step in emancipating the minds and more discussions to summarize the experience and to build consensus on the establishment of Holistic Systems Medicine. For this purpose we introduced the significance of Holistic Systems Medicine and also discussed eight aspects of the mission as well as ten suggestions for the development of Holistic Systems Medicine.
