Objective To explore the diagnostic value of children ’s testicular microlithiasis(TM) by color Doppler ultrasound. Methods Data of 695 cases of children’s scrotal ultrasound images were enrolled and analyzed, records of TM number, testicular volume, testicular blood flow index, etc.,the results was compared with normal children. Results Sixteen cases of TM were found in 695 children, the detection rate was 2.3%,characterized by bilateral 14 cases,2 cases of unilateral. Two cases of full filled TM,their testicular volume were smaller than normal children, the testicular artery peak flow rate was obviously reduced(P 〈 0.5),no obvious difference were found for the blood flow distribution, testicular artery RI between TM children and normal children. The testicular volume of TM child with cryptorchidism was significantly smaller. No obvious difference of blood parameters were found between the rest 13 cases of TM children and normal children. Conclusion Ultrasonography is able to not only diagnose the TM correctly, but also classify them into degrees. The color Doppler ultrasound of great significance for TM children. Full filled TM may cause testicular dysplasia, continuous follow-up is helpful to diagnose adult TM infertility.
