摘　　要：通过史料梳理和分析,得以清晰呈现创建于明初的兴城古城外城墙产生和湮没的发展历程,并在当地文物工作者研究和调查成果的基础上,结合对建国初期城外水系分布情况和现状地形变化的推演,判断外城墙及城门的走向和位置。Through the textual study of the walls of the ancient Xingcheng City of Ming and Qing dynasties, this paper presents the emergence and evolution of the walls. It deduces the peripheries of outer walls and locations of wall gates, taking into account previous research, field work, the distribution of water bodies outside the walls in the early years of the PRC, and topographical change ever since. This work contributes to elevating the values of the walls as world heritage, highlighting the authenticity and integrity, and forming the basis of integral preservation for the wall systems.
