since the Song Dynasty, the Lantern Festivals had started to be written in literary works. "A dream of Red Mansions'inherited and developed the traditional Lantern Festival description."A dream of Red Mansions'turned the Lantern Festival which ordinary people had a traditional outdoor Carnival activities into an indoor gathering activities which noble family had . The Lantern Festivals were no longer a lantern and fireworks as its focus, but the activities of the family and their complex relationship were described. In"A dream of Red Mansions", the Lantern Festivals did not occur any romantic stories, but predicted a crowed of young girl's tragic fates.
