摘　　要：本文运用语用学中的合作原则和礼貌原则,对海明威小说《弗朗西斯·麦康伯短促的幸福生活》中的人物对话进行分析,旨在通过对话分析把握小说中的人物性格特征,进一步领会作品内涵和海明威的写作风格艺术技巧。From the pragmatic perspective of cooperative principle and politeness principle, this article analyzes the dialogues in Ernest Hemingway＇s short story “The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber”. It argues that dialogues enable the Story to achieve better characterization and thereby help the reader to better understand the story＇s theme and style.
