摘　　要：蒋介石和蔡元培虽结交逾十年,但始终没有成为彼此信赖之人。他们的正式交往始于1926年浙江光复。1927年4月,基于对社会主义和共产党的反感,两人在1927年国民党"清党"时一度保持良好的合作。1928年和1929年,蔡元培两次辞职显示其与蒋之关系开始出现裂痕。在随后的中央研究院院址之争以及蒋胡约法之争中,蒋往往借机会打压蔡或利用蔡打击异己,引发蔡的不满,也使他们逐渐疏远。1933年6月,杨杏佛被刺导致两人的交往陷入僵局,此后两人互有指责,但表面仍一团和气,这种状态持续了相当长的时间,直至1940年3月才宣告终结,彼时,蔡元培在香港逝世。Chiang Kai - shek and Cai Yuanpei were never reliant on each other though they had been friends for more than ten years. Their formal association began in Zhejiang Guangfu Uprising in 1926. In April 1927, they cooperated and maintained a good relationship at one time because of their common ground against socialism and the Communist Party of China. But Cai＇s resignation in 1928 and 1929 cracked their relationship. In the subsequent incidents, such as the war between Chiang and Gui Clique （Guangxi military clique）, the disputes over the location of Academia Sinica, and the controversy over the promulgation of the provisional constitution between Chiang and Hu Hanmin, Chiang often optimized the opportunities to crack down on dissidents or Cal, which dissatisfied Cai and distanced them. In June 1933, the killing of Yang Xingfo resulted in a strained relationship of them. Later, they reproached each other, but were apparently on good terms. It lasted for a long time and did not end until March 1940 when Cai Yuanpei passed away in Hang Kong.
