摘  要:1893年《万国公报》举办征文活动,由贝德礼著,李提摩太和蔡尔康合力译述的《农学新法》一文,应此次征文而出。新法形塑了时人对农学的印象,获得朝廷的认可。张之洞兴办武昌农学堂,但因农务化学之质,成效并不显著。虽未造就农业人才的层出不穷,农学新法促成了学问风气的转变,反映和影响了清季农政的内容,显示了社会变动的历史走向。An event of soliciting articles was organized by Wan-kuo Kung-Pao in 1893. That's why the paper of Agricultural Chemistry,which was written by William Preston Bentley and translated by Timothy Richard's and Erkang Cai,was published. With the spread of view on agricultural chemistry,which was approved by the authorities,people began to turn their attention to western agriculture science. What's more,Chang Chih-tung set up a school of Agriculture in Hubei. Although the effect of school was not obvious,the knowledge of agricultural chemistry,which led to a change of learning and reflected a new look of traditional agricultural policies,expressed the historical trend of social changes in the late Qing dynasty.
