“使天主之教 无远不行”——北京西洋传教士与朝鲜士人的交往心态

摘　　要：18世纪发生在北京天主堂里的西洋传教士与朝鲜士人的"邂逅",虽说是"天缘",但实际上只是一种"貌合神离"。这些西洋传教士虽然为天主教披上了"儒家"的外衣,然而朝鲜士人并不买账,对于尊崇儒教的朝鲜士人来说,儒家以外的其他思想都是"异端",所以西洋传教士即使接待朝鲜士人,却没能让朝鲜士人真正理解与接受天主教。同时随着在交谈中朝鲜士人的"无礼"与"无识"问题的显现,原本"欲出朝鲜"的西洋传教士感到了失望,并渐渐疏远朝鲜士人而闭门不见了。In the 18th century in Beijing the encounter between the Western Catholic missionaries and Korean Scholars was thought to be ＂predestination＂, but it＇s quite dubious. Although these western mis- sionaries clothed Catholic in a ＂Confucian＂ coat,the Korean scholars still thought it as a ＂heresy＂ ,for the Korean scholars only respected Confucianism rather than any other ideologies. Therefore even if the West- ern missionaries warmly received the Korean scholars, they still failed to make them truly understand and accept the Catholicism. Moreover, the rudeness and ignorance the Korean scholars displayed during the con- versation made the Western missionaries felt so disappointed that they alienated them since then.
