奥巴马伍斯特技术高中毕业典礼演讲文体分析

摘　　要：从文体学的角度出发,对奥巴马在伍斯特技术高中毕业典礼上所做演讲进行分析,揭示本次演讲在一般特征方面具有表达用语正式、演讲逻辑清晰、层层推进的特点;在语法方面采用了长短句交替使用的结构和以陈述句为主的句型,既增强了演讲的节奏感,又体现了耐心和礼貌;在词汇采用上,除大家熟悉的词汇外无俚语和口语,全篇多次使用人称代词"we"、"us"和"our",拉近了总统和听众之间的距离;在语音控制上,奥巴马吐字清晰、发音有力、语调合适、语流顺畅;在语义特征方面,整个演讲组织十分有效,符合典型顺序,且采用了多种修辞手段,增强了演讲的气势和感情。这些特征为读者提供了一个从文体学分析这次演讲的视角,从而能更好地理解这一演讲并运用其中的文体知识。From the perspective of stylistics,this paper analyzes remarks of Obama at Worcester Techni-cal High School Commencement.It reveals the general features of his formal language use,clear logic and deep-going progressive ideas.Grammatically,he used both long and short,but mainly declarative sentences to add rhythm and show his patience and politeness.Lexically,he employed commonly-used expressions and we,us and our to shorten the distance between him and audience,no slangs and vernac-ular languages.Phonologically,he articulated clearly and convincingly with appropriate intonation and fluency.Semantically,his speech was well-organized,typical and in good order with rhetorical skills en-riching vigor and emotions.It provides a stylistic analysis of the speech to readers so that readers could have a better understanding of the speech and could use the skills of stylistics.
